AFP recently announced that the 2011 Summit will be held November 17-19, 2011 at National Harbor, located just outside Washington DC in National Harbor Maryland.

Just minutes outside of Washington, DC, the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center offers proximity to airports, entertainment, restaurants and Washington-area sight seeing.

Best Emerging Practices

While spending on disability-related services has increased over the past decade, fewer resources go to employment for people with the most significant developmental disabilities. AFP’s role in highlighting the best emerging practices and policies, including customized employment, microenterprise ownership, personal budgets, and employment first initiatives, provides the benchmark for progress as we enter this new decade.
