Recruitment strategies:
Emails and phone calls to all service providers and state and federal agencies involved with employment for people with disabilities

Goals and Objectives:
Our current objective is to hold several "parent education" nights around the state to better inform parents on the benefits of employment for their family member. We will be holding either a dinner or reception and provide respite care for the family member while the presentation is done. Presentation will be done by representatives from Dept. of Rehab Services (DRS), the Social Security Administration and the DHS Developmental Disabilities Services Division.

Challenges:
Educating parents about the benefits of work and overcoming fears of losing services or eligibility if the individual is employed.
