AFP provides state teams with resources to help:
State Teams are composed of representatives within the developmental disabilities community and include the voices of individuals with developmental disabilities, employers, families, policy makers, providers, researchers and community builders. State Teams are a vehicle to build state-wide coalitions representing all key stakeholders that will provide input, feedback and direction to the national summit organization process. Our expectation is that state teams will bring the Summit’s action agenda back to their communities so that the vision and outcomes agreed upon in Washington can become a reality nationwide. We are seeking leadership of state teams in the following states: Kentucky, Massachusetts, Ohio, Wyoming, Arizona, Idaho, Louisiana, Montana, New Mexico, South Carolina, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
